Joining Health Coalition Aotearoa includes you in the growing community of public health professionals, community leaders and NGOs in Aotearoa reducing harm from preventable disease. By joining as a member, you can add your voice to calls for health equity and evidence-based action on tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy food, as well as stronger public health infrastructure

Members receive HCA emails and reports, can attend member-only events, contribute to HCA submissions and campaigns and attend and vote at our AGM. Organisational members can display their logo and url on our webste alongside other NGOs standing up for public health.

We have a progressive structure for membership fees, based on organisational full-time-equivalent (FTE) staff (including paid contractors and part-time staff). Note that this page is only for those with less than two FTE applying for free organisational membership.

If your organisation has two or more FTE you must use the organisational membership page instead unless you are unable to pay by credit or debit card and require an invoice for direct bank transfer. In this case, complete the form below and email info@healthcoalition.org.nz for generation of an invoice, noting your annual income and any donation amount. Your membership application will not be complete until payment is received. We prefer members applying and donating online on the form below wherever possible to reduce administration and accounting.

Membership fees/applications are due in April each year and run to the 31st of March. As we have kept membership fees as accessible and low as possible, we appreciate members also contributing a voluntary donation online upon joining or renewing their membership, to protect our independent voice for public health. 

If you wish to donate with your free membership but are unable to pay online and require an invoice for direct bank transfer, please complete the free membership application form below and email info@healthcoalition.org.nz for generation of an invoice, noting your organisation’s FTE and any donation amount.

Organisational membership

Free organisational membership only open to entities with less than 2 FTE staff/contractors, as per our membership fees policy and terms and conditions. If you want to join as a member but your FTE is higher, use the organisational membership page here instead. Organisational members are non-governmental, non-commercial organisations such as NGOs, professional associations, and academic groups who do not have commercial conflicts of interest. Any potential conflicts must be declared below.
