The Health Coalition Aotearoa Food Policy Expert Panel is releasing its submission on the proposed changes to the promotion and provision of healthy drinks in schools.

Our submission advocates for a far broader approach to healthy food and drink in schools, including having a duty on food, and not just drinks, on schools to support the ambitions of Ka Ora Ka Ako. The group also emphasises that Te Tiriti obligations should be foremost in guiding the strength (e.g. specific and directive language) of food and drinks policies for children.

Health Coalition Aotearoa’s submission can be read here.
