Sally Liggins’ almost 40 years in public health includes working in NGOs, Ministry of Health and Massey University in a range of roles including planning, funding, leading national programmes, managing services and programmes, and contracting as a consultant or advisor across many areas of public health.

Sally is a member of HCA’s Smokefree Expert Advisory Group and a former co-chair, and for the last five years has been a member of Hāpai Te Hauora’s National Tobacco Control Advocacy Service Advisory Group.

She has also worked extensively with Professor Sally Casswell in alcohol policy and strategy across the Western Pacific region, and sits on HCA’s Rōpū Apaarangi Waipiro (Alcohol Expert Panel).
