Wendy is an independent barrister based in Wellington and has a broad litigation practice, including public law and medico-legal work and has a longstanding interest in the law relating to healthcare. She appears before the New Zealand courts at all levels and in major public inquiries.

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (French) from the University of Canterbury, and a Master of Laws (Hons) from Victoria University of Wellington. She was admitted to the Bar in New Zealand in 1995 and appointed King’s Counsel in 2024.
